39.4x39.4 in ~ Painting, Oil
The painting was inspired by the ancient Greek mythological story of Ariadne, the daughter of the Cretan king Minos, who fell in love with the Athenian hero Theseus, whom she helped defeat the Minotaur monster. And this by providing him with a miraculous sword and a ball of thread, with which Theseus found a way out of the Labyrinth after his victory over the Minotaur.
Therefore, even today, the concept of Ariadne's thread is used metaphorically to indicate a guide or a way to get out of a problematic situation.
