Current report:
This painting in digital form will be taken to the Moon by NASA - see in the NEWS section.
NASA will send scientific instruments to the Moon, over 2022 to 2025. Along with NASA instruments, these missions will carry commercial payloads, including the time capsules that make up The Lunar Codex.
The Codex will be the first significant placement of contemporary arts on the Moon in 50+ years. While focused on visual art, the Lunar Codex also includes a substantial collection of contemporary books, stories, poetry, essays, music, films, and more.
As an arts and culture project, the Lunar Codex has been called the most expansive, international, and diverse collection of contemporary culture launched to the Moon. A documentary being filmed about the Lunar Codex is calling it a time machine from today to the future - and from the future to today.
At its essence, the Lunar Codex is a time capsule, a message-in-a-bottle to future generations.
János Kubus is the first contemporary artist from Hungary whose artworks will be sent to the Moon.

Story about painting:
“Waiting and antipation are inherent in our daily lives. We create ideas about the future in our minds. About what could happen or what couldn't or shouldn't. Some waiting times are very long and time goes by slowly. For example, when we are waiting for the ideal partner we created in our imagination. We are ready to give ourselves to him... Many people who are waiting for a dreaming partner happen that the dreaming partner never appears. Maybe precisely because it is already within our reach, we just don't see it. It is as if he was standing behind our backs while we look expectantly in the opposite direction - far away. Sometimes we get tired of this long wait and we have to sit down and relax for a while. At that time, our idea ofan ideal partner and a common blue home of hope seems even more distant. However, paradoxically, often when we stop dreaming, our ideas will start to come true ... ”
