Ancient Greek mythological story about the kidnapping of Europe - the beautiful daughter of the Phoenician King- by Zeus god transformed into a white bull inspired many artists. The oldest preserved ancient painting of this story was a wall painting in Pompeii. This story was later painted by such great artists as Titiano, Veronese and Rembrand.
